My no-nagamani-enjoy days
Posted in Personal by admin at 1:29 pm |

My wife is going to return in few more days.. So, my days of married-man-living-bachelor-life are going to end. Not that, I had a great time living alone. No, honestly, it sucks. I no longer had zeal to return home early. Now, I know why start up companies like bachelors or fresh graduates so much :p. I spent most of the time trying to stay as away as possible from family friends and get togethers :( . So that, it would not remind me my family and how much I missed them. My friends would tease me that I was staying away as I was having “bachelor fun” ;) . Another reason I wanted to stay away was to complete other things that were pending for a while. But, What can be more distressing/embarassing than going to a Father’s day get together without your family :p ? Still, I had to go there just to prove that I am not having any bachelor-fun and also to stop their envy  I didn’t have a bad time either as I like all my friends and like spending time with them. But, do bachelors really like to come to family parties  .. Do they feel that they are missing being with a loved one ? something to ponder :?: .. For them, I would like to say, “Don’t worry. Your special someone, your sweet heart, your best friend is there some where for you :) .. keep the hope!. Don’t give up” One weekend, I went out with my friend Venkat to Big Basin Redwoods State Park. I wanted to try out the new filters I bought from Ritz Camera for my DSLR lenses. After reaching there, I took my camera out, switched it on, tried to take a snap but nothing would happen. Camera was still on as I forgot to switch it off last time I used. Hence, it wouldn’t power itself on. Venkat was actually glad that we don’t have to lug around the camera and the tripod  . After being unable to figure out how to take a trail, where to start for a trail, we went to the visitor information center to find out. Strangely, We had to buy the map for the trails. Once we figured out which trail to take, we ventured out for that trail. I had great time walking through the trail. We were talking all along the trail and it didn’t feel that I walked for couple of miles. We talked about people’s mentality, their attitude towards friendship, friendship-dos-don’ts and some other misc things. But, all the while, I was still thinking how much my wife would have loved taking this trail and if I had my son around, how I would have carried him along the trail or what grumbles he would have made. My fun-stuff time was spent :

  • Installing Vista and all other applications that I often use.
  • Installing one 500GB, 300GB Internal Hard disks taking my total hard disk space to 1.96TB (4 internal, 3 external HDDs)
  • Starting this blog
  • Adding keywords to most of my family photos and Uploading them.
  • Editing MP3 tags of often listened albums
  • Working on another website

I love my family the most.
I live my life, I love my wife

Being the Venkat mentioned in the post, I understand how tough it is not to have the happiness which you once had. So for bachelors like, we never tasted it much.. so we dont miss it…
We, the bachelors, actually feel famlily life is too much responsibility, no fun time, no sports, no late-night parties, no girls, no booze, no clubs, no weekend-marathon-sleeping, no time to finish work at office…in short..no life…

But like all bachelors, we will also dive into the river and taste the water and live to tell the tale..that how we love our wives, kids and family life when wife is away..so that when she comes back, she will never doubt my activities in her absence…

The camera story is much more funnier than illustrated…Let me rephrase it to let the readers enjoy the real fun..

The preparations began at a grand scale 1 week earlier to the trip to get the camera ready. This included a 2 hour delay for Tuneesh (die hard Ravi Teja Fan) to watch his idol’s latest flick. After extensive negotiations of the appropriateness of Sales Womans’s figure to the Ritz cameras hop and some little talk about her weekend activities, Sumanth took an informed decision not to buy the neutral density lenses but just stick with the UV lenses. This was an after thought after he decided to preorder some XX lenses.(not that one..u perverts! I never remember all the names of lenses as well as I remember the babes before them) l

Then the elaborate process of charging the camera started in advance. The camera was charged for the record time of a week. Just that it was left ON all the time. It was not logically correct to switch it OFF when it was taken off the socket. So the camera was ON all the 50 miles to big basin park.

As soon the great photographer in Sumanth got up after getting inspired by the natural beauties (Kshama, I am talking about the trees), tripod was given to me while the Master took the camera out from the bag. He made me stand me before a tree so that he can focus the tree better. Then after 2 -3 clicks, we realized the naked truth.

What followed was a million dollar moment for both of us:

His face : !@#$$%%^^&&
My face : Sympathy (Super happy inside)

No need to be the object..no need to carry the tripod..:)
